August Congressional Community with Congressman Rouda
August 24, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm PDT
Join us at our next meeting of the Laguna Beach Congressional Community, Saturday August 24th, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann’s Dr., Laguna Beach, CA 92651.
This is a private event, hosted by the Laguna Beach Congressional Community. It is invitation only.* If you live in Laguna Beach or another area within California’s 48th district and would like to receive an invitation to attend, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will ask you to provide your city and zip code which we will verify at registration on the day of the event. We will also expect you to familiarize yourself with our Code of Conduct and respectfully ask you to abide by it. Since Congressman Rouda will be attending the second half of the event as a guest, we expect the event to sell out. Seating preference will be given to Laguna Beach residents. (* — The original post was inadvertently listed as a public event. Our apologies for any confusion this may have caused.)
Meeting’s Agenda: We will be giving some background on the Congressional Communities model, followed by a 30-minute presentation on the issue of tariffs given by a Community member. After this presentation, we will introduce our Congressman, Harley Rouda, who will be giving us an update as to what he’s working on in Washington D.C. and answer some audience questions.
Congressional Communities is a non-partisan civic engagement organization seeking to increase respectful communication between constituents and their Representatives. Our motto: “We come here to peaceably assemble; to speak freely; to listen to differing opinions — with good governance our goal.”
